Merry Christmas from Bombs and Bubbles Galore

It's that time of year again when we take some time to wish all our lovely customers, friends and family a very Merry Christmas.

This year has been a bit of a mix of everything but it's ending with what matters the most, quality time with those who mean the most to us and trying to leave behind the things that have caused us pain, heartache and upset. This year has had its fill as usual in many different ways, but with my health deteriorating rapidly since summer it was a relief to finally get some form of diagnosis and I can continue to live my life relatively efficiently with medication and therapies. But this last week has been one of the ones that have been the worst in many years.

To the good things from 2022. This year was the first #SBSEvent I attended as a winner and collected my certificate and met Theo Paphitis himself, it saw my first year at Heanor Market and brought me new customers and back amongst some amazing small business friends. It was a year of fun and laughter at Cromford Mills with the crew. Including the ducks who liked to shop!

It was also the year I turned the big 40 and we had that long dreamed of and wished for holiday in 40°+ temperatures (yes, I did die a little but it was nice to have quality time with my girls)! This birthday has been dragged out a fair while seeing at was in July and was finished off with going to see The Cure with my big sis at the beginning of December with a few bestie dates thrown in for good measure with Christmas markets, good food, cocktails and fizz!

I passed my British Sign Language Level 1 in May and started my Level 2 course in September which is becoming a huge achievement for me after wanting to do it for so long. It only took 25 years but at least I am doing it and learning to communicate with others! If there is anything that is worthwhile it is definitely learning something new! It also helps that my tutor is fabulous and someone I consider a friend.

This year has been good for the offspring too with the decision to take the youngest out of school to be homeschooled, the big one getting a permanent contract with her workplace and making some great life long friends along the way. The youngest has enjoyed learning to make her bags and carry on with her artwork in her own time with no pressure on her to do more. Just take a look at some of her work!

As this year draws to a close, I want to say to everyone who has supported my business a huge thank you. You've made a huge difference to our lives, and for that we are very grateful. Without you all, I couldn't have made the decision over homeschooling my youngest and teaching her about things she will need to know as an adult. We wouldn't have been able to look at taking a holiday in the UK, let alone having a glorious week in Spain together. You, as my business supporters and purchasers have been keeping my small business going at a time when I believed I would end up closing for good with the year we've all had.

So, into 2023 we head and hopefully another year in business - it's been an amazing 5 years so far, I don't want my journey to end! So from me a huge Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and again Thank You for everything in 2022.
